 | | January 12, 2010, at 16 hours 53 minutes, the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince , the capital of Haiti , was hit by an earthquake of a 7.3 magnitude on the Richter scale. It lasted about 30 seconds. The aftershocks continue still, almost three weeks later. The extent of damage to persons and property is still being evaluated, but it is already clear that they are immense. Public services have been greatly affected, but the entire nation has mobilized to ensure that normalcy returns as soon as possible and to ascertain that the road map for the reconstruction of buildings and institutions is correct.. Alezy Ministries with the Samaritan purse an american organization distribuated kit to our church members and others people at Leogane, Petit-Goave and Port-au-Prince. We need more help from everybody anywhere. Rev. Francener Alézy |
